HISTORY

Kerryn Brimmer, Principal of KLD X-Treme All Star Cheerleading & Dance, commenced the “Kerryn Leanne Academy of Dance” in February, 1988 with classes for beginners to advanced in Jazz, Tap and Classical ballet styles. 

At the commencement of 1994 the fully equipped studios were opened in Scoresby. Due to increasing popularity and expansion, Kerryn refurbished the studios for the commencement of 2003 and changed the business name to “Kerryn Leanne Dance & Performing Arts” to mark the introduction of Singing, Hip Hop/Funk and Acrobatics to the styles already being offered. In 2004 Cheerleading was added to the choice of styles and emerged as one of the most popular classes amongst younger students and teens. 

2007 saw “KLD” as it had now become known re-locate to premises encompassing 2 larger dance studios as well as a fully sprung competition size Gymnastics floor and the name KLD X-Treme All Star Cheerleading & Dance evolved.
